Koco Widyatno, bartender from Ritz Carlton Macau secured his place with grand style as top 4 contestants for Hong Kong & Macau Bacardi Legacy Competition. Pearl River Legacy finest will head to Taiwan where they will compete for the golden ticket to the Grand Finals this year held in Berlin.
After a 3rd consecutive presence in the IBA Congress, Macau has become the 63rd official member of the International Bartenders Association. This time it was held in Tokyo and organized by the Nippon Bartenders Association at the historical Imperial Hotel. It was a tremendous successful event that gathered in Japan over 400 bartenders and aficionados from around the world.
Jonathan Villarma bartender in Pacha Nigh Club won the Asia Pacific Bartender Competition Flair Category. This prestigious competition was held in Singapore on the 27th of July 2016. His Flairtending theme perfomance “Spartan” brought to UBCM the first ever victory in this grandiose event.
Macau’s most prestigious bartenders competition returned for it’s 4th edition. This time UBCM partnered with Vertical Expo and hosted this event during the Asia Entertainment Exhibition held in the Venetian Resort Exibhitions Hall on the 11th to the 13th of December.

In other words to help create awareness in bartenders that the future of this industry consists in not only creating signature cocktails that taste good, but thinking of the cocktail as a whole experience to the guest from the moment he orders it until his last sip. A record number of participants welcomed the 3rd BARTENDER OF THE YEAR Competition held in Sky21 Restaurant & Bar. This year all participants were given 15 minutes to prepare garnishes for their cocktails and the best was awarded the “Cocktail Art Award”. Bartenders were then required to concoct 3 full portions of their original recipe within 5 minutes. This new concept implemented this year looked forward to bartenders developing their garnish preparation and confidence skills.
Maison Routin French Syrup company Established in 1883 was here in Macau this Friday at IFT Polo of Taipa, to showcase to UBCM members and cocktail aficionados the versatility and mixability of their products. Continue reading »
The Bartenders Association of Taiwan (BAT) welcomed to Kaohsiung south and second biggest city in Taiwan, 18 different countries from all over the world. The reason was the Golden Cup. This event is massive! Over 1000 young student bartenders compete yearly. This was the 20th year this event was organized and UBCM couldn’t miss this opportunity to participate. Continue reading »
