MGS was held in the Venetian Expo & Conventions Center on the 18th of November. This 3 days event organized by the Gaming Equipment Manufactures Association (MGEMA), this year the event had a more palatable experience as UBCM bartenders assumed control of David’s Group Bar and presented David’s Special cocktail to the various interested visitors.

The Union of Bartenders & Cocktails of Macau proudly presented to all visitors that passed by The Venetian’s Lagoon during this great Festival, New Orleans/Macau’s very own “Fabulous Shaker Boys”. Visitors were able to experience American Post-Prohibition palatable liquid delights and learn more about this important page of our beloved cocktail history and culture.

The Union participated for the very first time in the IBA General Meeting. It was the 63rd consecutive year this event was organized and first time in African Soils.


UBCM returns to Macau with the 2nd Runner Up Flair Category award. Winley Canillo bar supervisor at Galaxy Resort after successfully been qualified to the final with a great performance of shaker tins throwing and bottles juggling, impressed as well the judges from the tasting panel with his well-balanced fruity “Skyy Temptation” cocktail.


A total of 22 bartenders from local bars competed for the title of “Macau Bartender of the Year” at Sky21 Restaurant and Bar on the 12th December. Organized by the Union of Bartender & Cocktails of Macau (UBCM), the competion has run for 2 consecutive year now.

A small delegation of UBCM bartenders was in Singapore this August, to represent Macau for the prestigious Elite Bartenders Course and Asia Pacific Cocktail Championship organized by the Association of Bartenders & Sommeliers of Singapore.

Serve drinks with personality It was great the number of interested people that joined Sky 21 Restaurant and Bar to welcome the UBCM’s first bartenders competition on the 12th December 2012.
